Герасим, i'm realy bad in grammar =) I think, that your mistakes in such words, as "suppose" and "recommend" don't mean that you are really bad in grammar. You had only forgot how to write these worlds correctly.

You had only forgot how to write these worlds correctly. The usage of Past Perfect in this sentence gives us a hint that the one you are talking about is already dead... By the way, "forgot" is to be replaced by "forgotten" in that case!

forgotten Damn... that's a very stupid mistake... The usage of Past Perfect in this sentence gives us a hint that the one you are talking about is already dead... I thought, that I should use Past Perfect because the event we were discussing had ended by the definite moment of past. Though... maybe I was mistaken and the necessary tense was Past Simple (because the event could be the statement of the fact)

I thought, that I should HAVE useD Past Perfect because the event we were discussing had ended by the definite moment of IN THE past. Though... maybe I was mistaken and the necessary tense was Past Simple (because the event could be the statement of the fact) The usage of Present Perfect is preferable in that case, since Perfect Tenses are meant to emphasize the importance of action rather than simple mentioning of a certain action in the past, represented by Past Indefinite. We cannot use Past Perfect as the action has a definite connection to a currently existing person whom we are talking to at the present moment.

words. another one Misprint moment of IN THE past So be it, I have nothing against that. I thought, that I should HAVE useD I haven't catch, why should I use Present Perfect in this case? I know the rule, which says to us, that Present Perfect uses when we want to say about the event, happened before the definite moment in the past. So, by the sequence of tenses, we have two events: "I thought" and "I should use", which took place in the same time, then I must use Past Simple in both of these cases. Explain me more clearly, please P.S.Also, if you will notice any mistakes in my message - tell me about them.

I haven't catch, why should I use Present Perfect in this case? I haven't caught why I should use... that Present Perfect uses when is used. if you will notice
